Job Overview:
As a Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) you will provide care to adult clientele. Specifically, a MAS CIPSS is receiving or has received services and/or support related to the diagnosis of a mental illness, is in recovery from that illness, and is willing to self-identify as a consumer of services. As a Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist, you must be willing and open to communicating about your personal experience and recovery in a way that is conducive to encouraging hope for other individuals in the recovery process. CIPSS provide supervision and therapeutic support to adults struggling with severe and persistent mental health challenges, in order to help them achieve the highest level of independence possible. This role takes a special kind of person who is patient, trusting, communicative, and innovative.

Job Details:
- Providing individualized support within the clients' personal home and surrounding community. As a MAS Community Health CIPSS, you are responsible for hosting part-time/hourly phone, telehealth, and in-person support.
- Safely transporting the client within your own personal, reliable vehicle.
- Following the client’s treatment plan outlined and created by the client’s family and the case management team.
- Basic understanding of smart phone applications, access to email communication, and awareness around processing electronic documents such as session notes. Training is available.
Requirements:
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- ACTIVE State of Maine Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as in your own vehicle.
- Active motor vehicle insurance & registration
- Experience providing case management and social services to members of the mental health and developmental disability communities.
